climb a dark antiquated stairway in a palazzo’s in Venice. The Biennale has me on a treasure hunt all over the ancient city. As the door creaks open, I find myself in a dazzlingly light room. The ceiling is hung with thousands of incandescent bare bulbs, blinking.
Directed to stand on a podium, I hold two metal rods. I hold the rods and the bulbs are blinking in an undiscernible pattern.
Surrounded by a hypnotic blinking rhythmic pattern, I wait and wonder.
Is this my rhythm? The beating of my heart? Is my heart synchronizing thousands of blinking lights! My heart, this room, these lights are all blinking as one unified pattern. The rhythm of the Heart. The rhythm of Oneness.
